Please tell me that everyone knows about the deliciousness of the potato boat or potato foil packet or whatever you call it in your region of the country.
I know that this isn't true because when I was doing an internship in South Carolina and I was preparing a massive potato boat and half the people looked at me like I was crazy sauce.
Cale and I really can't believe that this our first one of the season but we've been out of potatoes and I finally remembered to put some in the cart when we went grocery shopping.
This may be my biggest mistake of summer. Good thing Cale grills all winter long.
Also, I used to mix the vegetables with olive oil instead of using pats of butter. I thought I was being healthy or something. Biggest mistake ever.
I was missing out.
I'm so glad that I've matured since then. My old age is only useful in certain circumstances. Using lots of butter in recipes is one of those.
Butter is totally the only way to go.
If you haven't been informed of this deliciousness all you have to do is cut up your favorite vegetables usually always including potatoes and onions (at least in our family), add some pats of butter, add some seasoning, seal up the foil (the steam cooks the vegetables) and throw it on the grill for about 30 minutes.
Potato boat delight.

In other news, my husband really tried to make my faux weekend as real as possible since I'm working straight through. After work, we ran a couple of errands, laid out by the pool, and saw Brave in 3D.
Totally by accident.
Well, we knew we wanted to see Brave but we were planning on just seeing the regular version. We didn't read the times and showings very well because when we asked for tickets to the 7:50 showing they were like, "Oh, the 3D version." We looked at each other and said.. "Precisely".
It was our first movie in 3D. And it was Disney. How mature are we?
P.S. Yes I did take my glasses off for the bear vs. mutant bear fight scene.
P.P.S. Does anyone else feel like you shouldn't be allowed to drive for at least 30 minutes following the wearing of those crazy glasses? We were both walking in a zig zagged line after taking them off.
